Suitable for all areas of Australia, this perennial sedge has tufted and upright arching green foliage that produces rusty brown flower heads from spring to summer. This sedge grass makes an ideal ornamental variety for landscaping.
Valuable in preventing creek bank erosion (at the bank/water interface) as the fibrous roots stabilise the soil. Also slows water flow in drainage lines. Provides protection for frogs and habitat for various insects. Koori (mainland) use: Leaves were used for weaving baskets and similar implements. Suitable below powerlines.
