Lettuce 'All Year Round' is an excellent lettuce and as the name suggest suitable for planting almost any time. It produces compact hearts and has a long cropping period. Whilst it is slow to bolt, it lacks the uniformity of more modern varieties. A hard butterhead type. A good lettuce for beginners.
