Know as mouse melon, Mexican sour gherkin, Mexican sour cucumber and cucumelon, this vigorous climber is apart of the cucumber family. Grown for its tiny 2cm long edible fruit that looks just like a miniature striped watermelon. Longer matured fruit will taste mildy sour in flavour with a cucumber texture. Can eaten raw and used for pickling.
