This species produces large, fragrant white crepe-textured flowers that open on summer evenings, fading the next day to soft pink. Especially suited to hot, dry sites with well-drained soil. A good choice for the rock garden or as edging. Very drought tolerant once established. A short- lived perennial, but plants will self-seed.
