VERBASCUM BOMBYCIFERUM

Known as Polar Summer, this verbascum is a statement short-lived perennial that exudes a regal presence in the garden. The plant forms a low, ground-hugging rosette of woolly evergreen silver leaves, bearing upright stems of white wool, supporting a candelabra head of yellow flowers.
Very adaptable to most soils but does require good drainage. Excellent for hot sunny sites and is well suited to gravel gardens, garden beds or containers
Although not a long-lived perennial, these usually self-sow when the plant flowers in it's second year.
